Consistency is the key

Daily writing prompt
What are your morning rituals? What does the first hour of your day look like?

It’s 6:01am

I Wake up and ask myself what day it is.

Stay in bed for another good 20 minutes then complain to myself about wasting time.

Say good morning to the dog. Ask if he had a good sleep.

Practice Yoga or Pilates so my back can thank me later.

Make myself a coffee.

Question if I can have another coffee straight after my first coffee.

Make breakfast.

Watch the dog curled up on his bed.

Wish I could carry him in my bag.

Start getting ideas for a large bag that can carry a border collie. Talk out loud about my ideas.

The dog becomes curious.

He responds to me, and tells me his ideas.

I can understand dogs.

We make plans to make a large dog bag.

The dog can sew.

He’s giving me instructions on how to sew.

I have become an assistant.

He asks for a large double shot latte with vanilla cream on top.

He throws the drink away, it’s plain cream not vanilla cream.

He’s made a large bag. Almost too large.

I am suspicious.

I tell him I cannot carry him in the bag, it’s too big.

He smiles, leaves the house and roller skates down the street.

We don’t even own roller skates.

His front paws hold onto the handles and the bag is in the air like a parachute.

The bag carries him in the air, gliding him around.

He looks happy.

Just like a border collie with roller-skates, hanging onto a parachute bag should be.

He left his phone and keys at home.

It’s 6:59am.

Rainiest of days

What is your favorite type of weather?

The days when the rain won’t stop and the air is cool.

Those are the days to stay inside and you wish for the sunny days.

Instead, you decide to take the dog outside to soak up the rain and enjoy the freedom of having no one else around.

Just you and your dog.
